It's too bad too because I was looking forward to testing me Omaha skills. I ended up coming in with about 1300 in chips left and when my blind came around I had A345 or something like that. I got raised into so I went all in. He called with a pair of 10s I think and some other cards which made it a mediocre at best holding for him. I ended up getting a 2 and a 5 plus a flush draw but nothing hit for me and I was out. I did not get a chance to watch the final table this time but here is the rankings for everyone at the final table.

1
freeroll26
$125.00
2
imjusthere4thebeer
$100.00
3
EgonOlsen
$75.00
4
astinaguy
$55.00
5
MTLdon
$45.00
6
kufolem
$30.00
7
Stevenslb159
$25.00
8
Rahaboss
$20.00
9
PearlSnapMan
$15.00
10
thepurdle
$10.00

I have not been doing very well in the last couple tourneys so I need to get some practice in which I have not been doing too often because of a new trading job which takes up a lot of my time.

Well I have not had time to post about last weeks BPT tourney and for that matter I have not played any poker either. I have started a new job and it is taking up all of my time. I work all day and have to research for the next day and after that I am too tired for anything else. Well Here is what happened. I was doing pretty well up to about 3500 or so. I noticed that iyatoni had been very aggressive and in the short stack he moved all in I called with pocket 8s. He shows AQ and the 8s hold til the end when the ace falls on the river cuttine my stack in half. Couple hands later he raises my blind I have K10 so I call. Flop comes down with a k and I think it was two nines. Turn was blank then river gave another nine giving me kings full. I make a move all in because I am hurt already so I need chips and he calls to show pocket aces knocking me out.

The final table was set when Osssss lost to brunsie's two pair 8s and 5s. CawtBluffin had a big lead going in to the final table. Royalroynr1 is the first knocked out at the final table when his A7 runs into the AK of DavidMalek who got the king on the flop and never had a worry . ViezeMan last weeks bubble was next to leave. Kufolem's pocket Kings hold against Hacksaws A10 to send him packing in 8th. Kufolem is now about even with Cawtbluffin for the lead. Brunsie is then knocked out by kufolem again with Kings. In a strange hand the two chip leaders Cawtbluffin and elc3105 go all in pre flop and both have pocket aces and end up splitting the pot. Cawtbluffin then takes out brodoughno with kings. Kings seemed to be doing the trick this tourney. DavidMalek was then knocked out by the aces of Chatuba. Next Chatuba gets knocked when his A2 runs in to kufolem's AQ giving a scare of a double up when the board gives him two pair A2 but two tens on the turn and river give kufolem the two pair with the better kicker.

Down to the final three all three players elc3105, kufolem, and Cawtbluffin are all about even in chips. Elc gets beat up early getting too tight for this position in the tournament. He does get a doulbe up after this but ends up out in third. Now two previous champs from the last season of BPT are up against eachother going for a second title. In the end both go all in preflop and the AQ of kufolem catches an ace to knock out the pocket 6s of Cawtbluffin.

I wish I had done better because this sets me way off pace to qualify for the final event. I hope to do well in tomorrows tourney when we try some PL omaha HL. Good luck everyone who will play.

So today was another round of the PSO poker league. I played really bad at the start. First I tried to check raise a pair of pocket queens in early position of course I got no raise and saw the flop with about 5 other people. Flop is fairly safe only with a flush draw so I put in a bet. I then get called by a couple other people figure one for the draw one for the high pair jacks. Turn a jack hits. I check and get bet into but I make a call river is the spade. Now I know I am beat by someone because they either had to have a jack or at least a flush draw. Big bet I fold other guy calls sure enough nut flush and i figure the other guy had a jack but can't be sure. That was one good thing I was able to fold.

Second really bad hand I have ace 2 suited and the flop comes 35Q with two hearts. I get bet into here is where I made the mistake of just a call. I know I am gonna get reraised on the turn all in so here I should either fold or push all in and maybe get a fold and if I get a call I am most likely up in the hand against a pair of Qs with any heart for a flush 4 for a straight and A for a top pair would win the hand. I call turn is another Q and sure enough the other guy goes all in as he is the short stack. I make a bad call and he shows Q10 and fills up with a 10 on the river. I was down to 400-500 chips. Next hand or maybe a couple later I get raised with pocket 4s and I push all in. Other guy calls me and shows KQ. I hit a 4 and he gets a Q but my set holds up to win. I then later get a couple hundred more chips from the same guy when I have pocket 6s and he raised again and I pushed all in. He didnt call that time.

Here is the bad hand I was trying to hit fold but when the same guy who had tried to take out my pocket 4s goes all in I accidentally called with 78 I think it was and he shows AJ. I was lucky not to be dominated and got a pair which held up to take him out now. This actually gives me a some good chips. This is kind of when I smacked myself and asked what I was doing and started playing better. Get into a couple pots and take some small ones. I limp with AK clubs and everyone folds to the BB who goes all in I make the call and he has AQ. I hit a king and two clubs on the flop to give him no direct outs and the turn is another club to take any hope of runner runner away. So now I am playing good poker I feel. Little bit later I am dealt AA and the big stack at th table raises me 300 with the blinds 100. I bump it up to 900 and he puts me all in an of course I instacall. He shows 88. Flop gives him the open ended straight draw and I dont even need to look to know that it is over. Sure enough turn gives the straight with my only hope is an 8 which doesn't come and I am done. I got a sorry but that hardly helps especially when that hand would have put me into second place with almost 6000 chips. I have a feeling I could have at least gotten to the final table because I was playing good the last couple rounds but I guess it was punishment for living through my bad play earlier.

Well the 3rd event for the BPT is this saturday and I hope for a big finish as I am on the bubble to qualify for the final event as of right now after finishing in 6th in the last event. Every one who has not joined yet do so by clicking the banner at the top of this page. They are run a lot better this time around and it is pretty fun.

Today before I played in the PSO tourney I decided to warm up with a couple NL sngs on stars because I have a bonus I am clearing there anyway. I have found in the past that this gives my game a little tune up before a big tourney. The first tournament started going bad. I had hit top pair with flush and inside straight draw on the flop. So I bet get raised, I reraise and the other guy puts in the rest of his chips. He turns over a set. I don't get any of my outs and I am down to 300 chips as he had been the low stack at the table so I had some chips left but not many. I start putting my chips in whenever I see the opportunity to steal and I get up to 800 chips just on steals and no double ups. Surprising because usually players at this level are not afraid to call because of the 5 dollar buy in. Anyway I then get dealt Kings in the BB. A player from middle position bets and I reraise he calls. I put in the rest on a safe flop he calls and shows no pair and an AJ. My kings hold up to win and I am now doing pretty decent. I later double up again with a flush and get to chip leader. We get down to 4 players and on guy is really short stacked but the other players were afraid to call him fore example. Blinds are 200-400 and he has 600 some odd chips. I would raise all in with my modest holdings of like K2 and almost did because the guy in the SB who was about even with me kept folding to this low stack almost as if trying to keep him alive. I fold though because I don't want to get into it with him if he does get in. Of course they fold in the SB. The next hand the SB doubles up and now has some chips. The low stack now takes some chips off of the guy afraid to get into any action previous and he now is the low stack as well he should have been. He ends up getting eliminated and the other three of us are in the money. I start taking pots eliminate one of the players and I am a dominating chip leader going into heads up. The other player mostly is folding but then starts going all in on a couple hands and I fold because of bad hands. I get A9 I raise and he puts the rest of his money in and I call. He turns over KJ. I flop an ace and by the turn he is drawing dead and I take a first place after being down to 300 out of 1500 chips.

Second tourney. This is where my day starts with suck out after suck out. First there is a top pair beaten by a flush draw. Later same guy gets me on an inside straight draw. Then again two pair is beat by another flush draw. I still keep taking chips down to 4 people it is me and another guy fighting for the last spot. He doubles up and I am now short stacked with a little over 2000 chips. I steal some hands successfully but then when on the button with A3 I get caught and reraised back all in. I have to call at this point and the other guy has AJ. Flop comes 866. Not good but not horrible either, if an 8 falls we split. Even better a 3 hits for me and for once I am gonna suck out but wait river is an Ace and I am done because his two pair has the better kicker. Even the hands I suck out on get sucked out on WTF.

Now time for the PSO tourney. This isn't any better. My steals did not get respect, and my hands still got rivered over and over. Beat by flushes and straight draws, same old story. Last hand still early but I have no chips. I get in with A8 of diamonds. Flop has one diamond and an 8 high. I check because it had been raised preflop and am hoping the raiser will try at it again in which case I put in the remainder of my chips if it isn't all of them. He checks but the other guy in the pot takes his stab at it with a bet putting me all in I call. Guy shows AJ. Turn is a diamond no help to him. He has two outs because the ace gives me two pair and the jack of diamonds gives me the nut flush. Guess what falls on the river just putting a stamp on this suck out of a night. Yes a non diamond jack. I have not had a good showing yet at any of the pso events and so it doesn't look good for making the final prizes but it is still juicy enough to play anyway. The first tourney I got a 20 dollar bounty for knocking out Kugr so I am actually up 3.50 so far this league (20-3*$5.50 buy ins=3.50). One thing I noticed was that the league actually increased in the number of players from the last league which is a first for the leagues I have played.

Well the leaderboard for the BPT is up and thanks to my finish last week I have ended up right on the bubble at this point to get into the final 20 for the finale. I forgot to mention one thing last week. I am not sure but I believe that I never left my original table from the start to the final table. Just an interesting side note. The one bad thing about this is the points are not scored all off the tourneys. Each of the BPT hosts gets first place points for their tourney they host. Making it pretty hard to over come them when they get those points plus where ever they finish in the tourney point wise. This would make it hard for any of the hosts to the 6 events to not make the final event taking away 6 spots for people like me trying to get in on the final. Now it is not impossible to overcome but it does make it hard. One of the blogs I was reading Irongirls blog talked about how they were going to be a host and want to do a change up from NL holdem and instead going with PL Omaha H/L. This would be great as I have been playing a lot of small sngs of PL Omaha H/L and have been doing really well. Although I would expect to have a much better play from the BPT it would be a cool change. Well here is the updated standings from the BPT hopefully they will change after the next event to have my name in bold.

<div I pretty much did opposite of what I did last event. Last event I was one of the first people knocked out. This event I was in the chip lead early and kept building even after that. Once I was at about 12,000 chips I hit a wall and stayed there a little bit. I went down to 10 K in chips. Anyway Even though I hit a stop sign I kept slowly increasing after awhile again and with 11 people left in the event I was in the small blind with one of the short stacks in the BB Viezman and everyone folds to me. I attempt to steal figuring that if I call he is going to go all in with just about anything as he has done this a lot so I might be able to take it down otherwise the blinds are too big for me to fold this hand anyway. He ends up calling I have J8 to his pocket 8s. I hit a jack on the turn and the final table is set. With purechoas in the lead and I after all of this was in second with the next few people really close behind.

First knock out is done by purechaos when his pocket nines hold up to eliminate elc3105. Natsdad doubles up with AQ against KQ with a Q on the flop and is now the chip leader. Couple hands later Natsdad ends up taking out the previous chip leader purechaos when her Ax heart flush beat a Qx heart flush. Now Natsdad has a huge chip lead over the rest of the table. I then take out Quackpot who was a short stack went all in while I was in the BB and didn't have a whole lot but too good of odds forced the call due to such a short stack and I win. Porkrind333 ends up getting knocked out shortly after that I missed what with though. I then start getting chunks of my stack taken out and I am now only with around 10 K in chips and decide to try to take the pot with first in vigorous and an ace high but run into the pocket kings of damriver and his kings hold to knock me out him just slightly edging me in chip count. damnriver next takes out brodoughno when his AK holds up against Ax for a preflop all in. Damriver on a roll takes out booboy119543 when he catches a flush.

The final three are set with Natsdad in the lead with around 77k in chips damnriver with around 55k and iyatoni with only 10k in chips. A few hands in iyatoni doubles up and has 26k in chips against natsdad. Iyatoni stays aggressive and takes some smaller pots to get up to 35k. Damriver gets knocked out when his AK catches a King against natsdads pocket 9s but the board gives natsdad a straight on the river.

Down to two now Iyatoni doubles up with a pair of aces on the flop to natsdad middle pair of 3s and now has the chip lead after looking so bleak throughout the final table. Iyatoni loses the chip lead but takes it back with a decent sixth pot the next hand. Natsdad now doubles up with trip Qs vs a pair of 10s and regains a commanding chip lead of 113k to 30k in chips. Nats dad takes 10k off Iyatoni with trip twos. Then natsdad finishes it off with an ace high straight to win the tourney. Congrats to everyone making the final table I hope next time I can do a little better than 6th but I will take it without a doubt.

So yesterday was the first PSO league event. It was a lot of ups and downs with my stack. All the pso staff had bounties on them and I ended up having Kugr right next to me on my right. I decided that if I had a decent hand that I would try to knock him out if I had him stacked even if it wasn't something I would normally do. He raised I had AQ suited I reraise he calls flop comes three suited but I get top pair with a Q on the board so I raised him all in. He folds for a little bit we both at the same time talk about the bounty, him saying saying how he hates the bounty and me saying come here bounty. He then folds so I don't get a shot at his bounty. Later on he raised while I had pocket 6s. Now this would be a spot I would usually fold because I am not a big fan of middle pairs but I since it was Kugr I reraised him all in. He calls and shows pocket Kings. I turn the 6 and collect 20 dollars in bounty from PSO. Murph another guy with a bounty then is at my table and I start trying to chase after that but Scottwire gets to him first. Later I am getting short stacked to about 1200 chips with the blinds at 75 150 I think and Scottwire moves all in as he is just slightly higher stacked than I am and I call once again with pocket 6s and he shows A7 suited. The board ends up double paired both higher than my 6s and he gets it with the two pair and the ace kicker to knock me out. I don't know if I will be able to make this sundays event due to the bears game and I may be heading out to champaign afterward so I will have to see on that.

I have not played a lot of poker the last month or so but I did get into some Sngs last night. First tourney I play in went ok I made it to the last three and was first in chips. I get sucked out on AA vs Q10 which caught a straight on the turn. After I had hit a set. That put me down and I was put out a few hands later after making a move for a pot. Then I kept buying into tourneys and getting suck out after suck out. Top two pair gets beat when the other guy gets a better two pair on the turn. KK sucked out against K10 and AK sucked out by KJ after hitting the ace on the flop. It is hard to get back into poker when I feel like I was playing well but kept getting bad beat. I don't know anyone who could win through having hands dominating others and then getting beat.

Last Saturday I played in the blogger poker tour event. I did really bad here. This I did not feel I played very well at all although I did let go of some big hands which were the right choice I was eliminated early in the tournament. I will not be able to play in the next one but I might just register for the tourney and let myself get blinded out and get some points for it. I really would like to get to the final where I think I would have a great chance at that trip to the Aussie millions. I have always wanted to go to Australia and this would be a great opportunity.

So it has been a while since I have played poker since a lot of my money is tied up still with Mansion Poker from the 1100 dollar garanteed sports bet. I did not hedge this and was pulling my hair out over the fact that I had not in the final minutes of the game. Then Pittsburg scored two touchdowns to cover the spread and I was thrilled.

My first action in poker in weeks today, I took the little money I had available and deposited it into pokerstars. I have never played there and they offered me a 50 dollar bonus. First I register for a PL Omaha H/L sng for 10 dollars but I am the first to register. So while I wait I went and played some cash games for 5 c 10 c NL. I did not do very well and the last few months my ring game has been a struggle. I would really like to get my feel back for this as this was how I originally made my money at poker. I bought in twice for 4 dollars and lost both buyins. Meanwhile during my last buy in at the ring game the Omaha tourney had started. I sat back and watched as two people were gone in the first round. I then started taking some pots. I hit top set and keep betting it til the river where there was not low but straight draws. I bet a little not even a quarter the pot and the guy folds so obviously he had been in on the low draw. I end up working my way to first place. Not bad for someone with very little omaha experience.

I also got a message today from sun giving me access to a tourney to go to St Ria or something like that with a 6k buy in once your there for a package worth 11.3 k. There were only 175 people there so the buy in would have come out to about 65 dollars a person. It said as a reward for stopping off at their booth. I figured maybe it had something to do with my trip to vegas as I did stop off at a couple booths there at the wsop. I was doing well in this I was 5th place with about 100 people or so to go. Guy that is in second place is also at my table and he is very aggressive. He raises I have A10 I have taken pots back from him a couple times but mostly left him alone so I reraise him knowing that with the frequency of his raises I am most likely ahead. Flop gives me a 10. He pushes me all in I call. He turns over KQ for an unpaired hand. Guess what comes on the turn. Yes a queen. River is a blank and I am gone. I had watched this guy suck out time after time against people and he did it to me too.

So I am starting the second season of the BPT where they are giving away a trip to the aussie millions to the winner. I had problems with them the first time around so hopefully they will have them fixed. It is just that the rewards are too great to pass up on them especially since last year very few people were playing in them. I feel I could have a real chance if they give me a chance to actually play. Several times last year they did not get me a coupon and I was unable to get in. It would be nice to go to Aulstralia to play in this as it has always been a place I've wanted to see. Feel free to join up too if you haven't already and put me as your referrer.

So I placed the bet at Mansion Poker. 1100 on Pittsburg to beat miami by 5 or more to win 1000 and if I lose I get to keep my 1100. Right now I am trying to find a way to bankroll my brother for this but I am ending up 90 dollars shy of a second 1100 dollars to place down as a bet. I have not played a lot of poker lately. The only thing I really can do right now is play with 5 dollars titan gave me. I have been turning it into 20 dollars and cashing out now twice which has made me close to a profitable player on titan because when I did my PSO promo there I had lost some money not including bonuses. With the bonuses I got I was profitable. I really need to find another 90 dollars in the next few days or I risk not getting in a second bet at mansion through my brother which I agreed to split profits with him if I bankroll him.

So yeah the party yesterday was ok we had several people agree to get into a 20 dollar buy in tourney. By the time we started playing we had lost about 6 or 7 people wanting to play and we had 5 people playing. we decided 80 to the winner 20 to second. This was my first time playing in a while live so it took me a little while to get in the habbit of looking for tells. We each started with 100 chips and the blinds started at 1-2. Half hour into the tourney we lose our fist guy. He had actually gotten unlucky a little two hands in a row. His first big loss came when he had trips and someone with pocket aces caught an ace on the river to take a big chunk of his stack. The very next hand someone with pocket kings caught a King while he had trips again for another big loss. I don't remember what he went out on but he was done shortly after that. I was sitting there and was not getting any hands at all. My brother doubled up against the chip leader but the chip leader was still in a good position in second not too far behind first. Now comes a hand with the three remaining players while I am short stacked. The flop is 976. After the first round of betting all three of them were in for 40 chips each. The turn is a 5. Betting continues to be big one of the guy folds the other moves all in and the other calls. My brother shows he flopped the nuts with 108 and the other guy shows pocket 6s. After they turned them up the guy who left told us how he folded the pocket 7s thanks to the 5 there he had been able to get off the hand. But the two people all in were the two chip leaders now my brother has a dominating chip lead and I am now in second because the other guy had called off too much of his stack and was now the short stacked. The next hand the short stack moves all in for his remaining chips. Blinds are 3-6 now and the chip leader calls. Short stack shows an AQ and the big stack shows J8. A queen turns up on the flop but the big stack to my thrill catches a runner runner straight. I was now getting my money back and to this point I had won one hand only and that was when I was the BB and every one folded except the SB who calls I raise triple the Blinds and took the pot. So for the hands I had been gettting I was pretty thrilled to just get my money back.

Now its time for heads up between me and my brother who has a dominating chip lead. He takes the first pot with an all in when I had 73. He shows pocket aces after I fold without calling. I am now down to about 40 chips to his 460 and blinds are now 4-8. I get dealt 83 and knowing I can no longer wait I put my money in the pot. He thinks for a while and makes the call with K5. I end up hitting a three on the flop and the river trips me up to double me up. After a few hands with not much but a few chips exchanged here and there we once again go all in pre flop I turn over KQ He has K8 I hit a Q on the flop and I double up again. I now have about 160 in chips. I take a few smaller pots and work my way up above 200 chips. A while later the floop comes something like 1082 with all hearts. I had JQ with the Q of hearts. We had just raised the blinds again to 5-10 and I was right around two hundred. I make a move and push all in. He calls and flips them over when he realizes that he thought he had 82 not 83 and did not want to call with that. He is a little releaved to see I have not made any hands yet but I did have the better odds with two over cards a flush and an inside straight draw. Turn comes a blank but the river gives me a 9 for the straight I now have reversed the situation and have a big chip lead. He moves all in the next three hands in a row and I fold to them all. The fourth hand I get dealt Q10 suited and he again moves all in but I call this time. He turns over A rag I hit a 10 and it is all over.

Now I was lucky several times in this but so had he to get to the dominating chip lead. Everyone once it was down to heads up had thought it was over and stopped paying attention to the game and went to different rooms. One big tell that had helped me out was one so obvious off my brother. If he starts huffing and puffing trying to make decision it was time to no longer bet into the pot and just fold to a raise unless I was very strong. He did this once while I was betting a hand with a low pair and a pair of kings on the board. I had position on him and on the turn after my raise he does his huffing and puffing about calling me then asks if I have tripped up. River comes he checks I then tell him nice king and check and sure enough he has the king.

Well I did finally play a little bit yesterday. Sure it was 1-2 cent and I played just about every hand that wasn't raised. I just wanted to get into poker after a little time off with some stuff I don't really care about. This was at titan a room I hate and they had given me 5 dollars to play with so I put it into a game. I turned it into ten dollars at first before leaving for a little while. I then came back with 5 dollars again and again I had gotten up to about 5 dollars pretty easy. While playing this I decided to try some 1-2 cent omaha H/L. I started a new table and only got one guy to join. This I went down to like 2 dollars at one point. Then I started catching on to the other guy and started winning and was back up to 3.50 before I think he caught on to the fact that all the sudden I was out playing him or he just got bored and decided to leave. I like to think he got afraid he was gonna lose his 4 dollars and ran off though.

Right now I don't really have any money on any sites as well besides a few bucks here and a few dollars there. I lost a couple hundred playing on Sun and have decided not to finish the promo I am doing there because it will take way too long. I am in the process of being set up with 62 percent rake back on a Prima site called 123 Poker. So as soon as everything is good to go on that I will make a deposit there and start playing with some of that. I had a rake back at a different prima account and kept the rakeback seperate from my regular chips. I did not play a large amount on the site but was up about 50 dollars and had about 30 dollars in rakeback. If I replicate those resulsts I would have 50 and 50 so an extra 22 percent from before is pretty nice.

A few days ago I got my Custom Nevada Jacks chip set. They look really nice and I cannot wait to get a game goin with them. Later today my brother is having a party at his house and wants me to bring them for a tourney. I don't know if I will or not as it has been my experience that when drunk people play, which there will prolly be a few, they like to throw things. So I have about 1400 crown dice chips that I don't really care too much about that I will bring over so the debut of the Custom NJ chips will have to wait.

Well I finally got the pictures developed from the WSOP. I have not been playing poker much lately as I have been taking a break because I can't seem to stop the bad beats and just need a cool down period. I hope to start playing again soon maybe even tonight. But here are the pics from the WSOP. This first one is me and Greg Raymer right after he was eliminated from the main event. Look for me on ESPN when they show this because I was standing right behind him.

This Second one was me and the sign outside the WSOP I figured would be a cool pic to take.

Well got back from Vegas late Friday night. Trip started by getting in early Saturday morning and checking into the hotel. I had to get up at 4 am Chicago time so 2 am Vegas time. I only got about 2 hours of sleep as well so I was tired but went out anyway. That night I went to the PSO party at hooters and got to meet a few of the people from PSO. A few times during the party I had to leave to get drinks for my GF because she doesn't like beer and that is all they were serving. I didn't win but did get a lot of crap the poker sites were giving out. In the end me and a few other psoers each took a box of balls each why I don't know but they had several boxes of balls and it seemed like a good idea to take one after a few drinks were in me. We ended up at a bar/nightclub for a little while but it was late and I had almost been up 24 hours straight so I called it a night because there was still a lot more to do in Vegas.

Second night we went to see the Cirque du Soleil Beatles love. It was pretty cool to watch. They told the story of the Beatles through a combination of acrobatics and their songs. A friend of a friend who was from Vegas knew a lot of girls that worked at night clubs and he gave me their phone numbers to call while in Vegas so I could get hooked up a little. So we decided to go to Pure after the show. It had a very long line to get in and they were prolly charging a lot of cover but we were on the guest list and went right in for free. This place was way too crowded and it was hard to walk yet alone dance. We eventually called it a night after not being able to do much.

Third day there we changed hotels to the Imperial Palace. This was a decent place to stay that gave me great location in the middle of the strip. I finally got to play some poker this day. I limited myself to two buyins. This first time I played was like a free roll. I had pocket Qs at one point bet it preflop to 15 was called and the board was k an a couple low cards. I continuation bet 20 and was reraised. I fold and the guy showed a K 6 or something like that. Next time same guy after I flop a set of 4s. He raises I reraise he pushes me all in. I call he shows a QJ. There is no straight draw no flush draw and no pair for him. He needed runner runner for a straight to win and of course he caught it. So for those of you who think that it never happens live think again. I left furious and didn't have any more money to buy in with to get my other money back right then. So I left thinking that the next time I would clean house if this is how they were gonna play.

Later that night we headed out to the Jet night club where another contact hooked us up to cut in line and get free cover she also gave me and my girl friend a bunch of free drinks. This was a nice place to hang out and dance a little. We stayed there a few hours and got ready for the next day.

Tuesday we had booked a tour of the Hoover dam. It was nice for only 70 dollars for both of us.
They started out by picking us up at our hotel and bringing us in to pay for it before we left. We first stopped off at a chocolate factory and a cactus garden. Of course I get talked into paying 5 dollars for three chocolate bars for my girl friend. After about half an hour there we then hit up the Hoover dam. Hung out there and looked around for about an hour and a half. From there they took us to a buffet that was nothing great but decent. When we got back we didn't do a whole lot because it had been a long day and we were tired so we mostly just did some gambling and drank a lot.

The next day we headed over to the Rio for a little bit to watch the WSOP. First thing I saw was a bunch of cameras by one table on an outer edge of the tournament so I went over and found myself standing right behind Greg Raymer who was in the process of being knocked out and he was right in between me and the camera. So for those of you watching the WSOP this year on ESPN be sure to look for me when you see him getting knocked out. I also saw Joe Hachem come give his respect after Raymer was knocked out. He was still nice enough to take a picture with me which I will try to post once it is developed.

I then got back to the hotel to buy in for my second poker session. I had not seen any cards worth playing yet when I was dealt 10 10. A couple callers no raises in front of me so I raise it to try to reduce the field. The guy right everyone folds but the guy right in front of me. Flop A 10 rag two suited cards so I do a continuation bet he calls and I had put him on an ace and a face card. Turn comes its a queen and I see his eyes light up. I figure now it looks like he has AQ and is still crushed by me. I raise again this time he reraises me and I put the rest of my chips in. He takes a second to ponder. Starts asking me if I have a set of Aces. He then calls saying if you got the ace you have me. He turns over two Qs his set takes out my set and there goes a second buy in. This was not as bad as the first player but it still bothers me how you cannot raise with Qs pre flop even if he didn't want to reraise and second he just flat called a board that had an over card to his queens. Both are times he should have raised to find out more information or in the second case folded if not raising. Again I walked away a little frustrated at the way things had gone and even more so since I had been sucked out twice after getting a lot of money in the pot with a flopped set and was now out of my money I dedicated to poker.

Later that night we headed over to the Caramel for a specialty martini. I tried the Oreo one and my girlfriend had a strange one with mint in it. After this we headed over to the Rio again and I watched a little more of the WSOP. It was funny how there was this guy who was apparently 21 but looked like he was 15 playing at one of the tables and was one of the chip leaders in the tournament. I don't know his name and wish I did so I could look up how he finished or if he is still alive trying to get the gold. Anyway I didn't stay long because they soon after booted all the spectators. From there we had a few VIP passes for the Voodoo at the Rio. Only problem was I thought it had said you had to come before 1230 to come in free with it but that was for a different place and on the voodoo part it said you had to be there before 1030. So I had to pay for two 10 dollar covers to get us in. The view was worth it but next time I will be sure to get there before 10:30.

Thursday we did the last few things we had wanted to get done. Got some souvenirs. We then had another hookup at the Light club and once again got to go right in free of charge. This place was pretty nice as well. Main complaint though with most of the clubs in Vegas is they are way to over crowded especially Pure with such a small area.

Headed out Friday and we both can't wait to get back. Hopefully next time I'll get my girlfriend to bring another friend or something so I go off on my own more to play poker and get my money back from the first trip with a very high interest rate. First thing I did when I got back though is I played some black jack on 21.com with my free 200 dollars. Lost my first 50 dollar bet but then I bet 100 on the second hand and hit 21 so I ended up making 100 dollars of my loses from Vegas back which was real nice.

Well the other day I was fooling around and bought in for two dollars on a NL Omaha H/L sng. I have been trying to learn how to play this better because without even knowing how to play well I have been winning at the tables when I go to them. Anyway I am in a hand and dealt A23x. The ace and something else were suited cant remember what the other card was. At the turn I have the nut flush and if a low does come onto the board I will automatically have a nut low as there is no A23 is on the board only like a 6 and 7. I announce My hand just seeing how people would react on how I have the nuts and would automatically have the nut low and then raise all in. I still get called by a guy who has a lower flush and an A3. The only way he could have not been knocked out is if a 2 came on the river to take a quarter of the pot. I just laughed and wrote I warned you.

Tomorrow I will be leaving for Las Vegas. I am putting my self on a budget of about 250 dollars. That will let me buy in twice for 100 dollars at a 1-2 NL table and one 50 dollar tourney. Hopefully it won't matter and I will win but variance can be a bitch sometimes especially when looking at the ratings for poker rooms the casino I am staying at Imperial palace has the biggest fish which increase variance a lot and the best comps so I will be tempted to stay there. My budget may change if I win money at the pso party. This will be my last post till after I get back and will try to report what happened in Las Vegas. I will be arriving in LV at 10 am have to go out and check into the place. Relax a couple hours before going to the party. Sunday I will be going to Cirque du solie beatles love and afterward going to the pure night club at Caesars. Tuesday I am taking a tour of the Hoover dam. Then got a couple hook ups on other night clubs hopefully I will be able to contact them to get in.

I could really use some winning sessions of poker while in Vegas as I need some money to help pay for Vegas as I am in the process of changing jobs. Who knows poker just may pay for the whole trip if I get hot. Haven't played in a lot of cash games lately so I have to remember what I know on tells and 1) try to pick up when a person is strong or weak and 2) try to give out mixed signals to scew anyone who might be trying to watch me for similar things. Other than that play solid poker and try to get my money in when I have the best of it.

Yesterday I decided to play for my last 100 points to clear a 5 dollar segment of my bonus on titan as I only have money now in two rooms and figured might as well even though I have struggled. It was bad I got my money in with the best hand and was sucked out on a very high percentage on the river. AA 4 times raised 7-10X BB preflop and would either get my money the rest of the way in preflop or on the flop and every single time I was sucked out on either the river or the turn. I fought back a little but was still down. I passed my last 100 points but now bonus. I contact support and they decided to change the bonus requirments to 500 points per 5 dollars instead of 400. I let them have it there and just withdrew my money not wanting to put up with their BS. No notice I would have never played for 200 points it was a hard time to determine I wanted to do it for 100 points. I then went to my other site battlefield now the only one I have money at and started playing some 2 dollar buy in sngs to blow off some steam. I was playing omaha something I have very little experience with but I am starting to turn a profit on there.

My first hand of a 10 person omaha H/L sng I win a small put that was too scary I think for anyone to bet when my low set won it with a flush and straights on the board. Next hand I have AA and some other cards. Flop is AKJ again its checked around and once more on the turn when it is a low card. River is a jack giving me top full house. 5 people still in this hand it gets bet raised reraised reraised to me I put all my money in two people call and I take out two people for almost 1/3 of the chips two hands in. One other guy caught up to me and we were the two dominating chip leaders. Down to 5 players I found my time to bully. two players were at 300 chips. I started betting every hand the two players who had above 300 chips. They started folding and so did the short stacks. One short stack folded to my raise even though he only had another small blind in chips when he was in the small blind just to hope the other guy got knocked out. First person out was actually the other big stack who had been wittled away and was garanteed a top three spot practically if he just didnt get involved. He did and I took him out. Then got out one of the small blinds and the other came back a little. But I had a huge chip lead and no one ever had a chance.

Well I finished full tilt yesterday it took me only a couple days of play to do and that was pretty low limits I did it on too. Anyway I made 31 dollars profit from the site then I got a 15 dollar bonus for clearing 250 points along with my 9000 pso points. so all together it is 136 dollars profit for two days on the room. I did not like the room very much though and I do not think I will be visiting it again anytime soon without a good incentive to go back. Funny thing was the same day I clicked finish with pso full tilt had verified the room but yet when I asked a question to support to make sure I was tied to PSO I still have not recieved a reply besides a message saying we recieved your question we will get back to you shortly. Well I already have my answer so don't bother with the email.

So I forgot to post that I finished with PokerRoom the other day did pretty well there. I made 150 dollars playing profit. then another 56 dollars for the deposit bonus and then I am getting a set of custom poker chips. I love those little extras. 150 dollars profit is enough to keep me happy but then I get a free set of custom poker chips and a 56 dollar deposit bonus. Most of this was actually done at the 5 dollar sh sngs although I did do some ring games.

Today I started up at Fulltilt. I first played in a 5 dollar sng when I saw that they had Horse I just had to play in it. I did well for not being a limit player and not playing any of the other things that they had. Won the first hand when my K10 in the big blind got a king to flop and I bet it out to the river and then won the show down. Other guy that was in did not show. My next win was in Omaha H/L where I flopped the nut low with an A364 and the flop was 245. We capped everything flop turn and river. The guy on the river got a full boat when his set got the board to pair up and we had one other guy in with us so It was still a decent pot for me. I ended up losing a huge part of my stack when some donkey hand no pair on 7 card studd I raised with Kings in the hole. Guy keeps calling and even tries to reraise. I get two pair Kings up and get the other guy all in. He had called all in with a pair of 3s. I am like what kind of moron does that until the last two cards came for him AA to give hime Aces up. I ended up bubbling then heading over to a ring table to get some hands in.

Bought in for 5 dollars on a 10 dollar table to get the hang of things and I ended up making almost 30 dollars profit so a little under 25 dollars profit on the day did this when I had a straight on the flop but ended up winning because it ended as a Q high straight. Next hand I raised and got reraised all inby a person who had been a calling and bluffing machine and I had AK I call and they show A2 I get a king on the flop and no scare cards the rest of the way for a win. I then got two pair with Aces and tens and took down a big pot the other guy ended up folding on the river. This is when I got cold decked. No cards dealt to me and the ones that were any decent never hit anything. I was down 5 dollars after going up to 20 before I got a couple hands another A10 hot two pair and took a 5 dollar pot and then in the blind A6 hit tow pair and I almost doubled up to a guy that was slightly smaller stacked then me when he had 46 hit four two pair as well. Funny thing was he said been getting bad beats like that all day I didnt say anything but maybe the reason why was he was calling not in a blind hands like 46.

Well I cannot wait for my custome poker chips to get approved once that happens I will list my regular nevada jacks on ebay to see what I can make for those.

Since I have last posted I have gone through a bad down swing. Everything has been getting caught against me. People catching two outers on the river, cracking my top sets KK getting knocked out by a donk calling my 10X raise pre flop with 10 4o yes 10 4. I had run my poker room account to almost 150 dollars in profit and was after all these beats down on poker room 20 dollars or so. I have now worked my way back up so I am up over 60 dollars on the room but wow I have taken some bad beats this last week.

Today was a big break. I only played 3 sh 5 dollar tourneys on PokerRoom and won two of them so not bad. On party though I was given 20 dollars to play with which they do every month or so. I took this and ran it up to 150 dollars today. Id say that makes up for the beating I have taken this week on poker room. Whenever party gives me these 20 dollars or whatever bonuses I always go in put it all on either a sng tourney or a ring game. Today was a ring game at a 25NL table. I brought it up to 55 dollars on my first table and then put the 20 dollars into another table. Made 50 dollars on the next one. I did this a couple more times. Usually I will lose the 20 at some point but not today. I actually cleared the WR and cashed the whole thing.

I am almost done with pokerroom for the custom NJ chip set and once I have that I will probably sell my regular set on ebay because I have too many chip sets but couldn't pass on the custom chips.

OK so I play poker today for the first time in a few days and felt like I was playing very well but kept getting bad beat. First tourney I was in I was chip leader dealt pocket Qs. I bet big preflop because people were calling a lot of big bets so there is a lot of money in the pot. Flop 10JQ the 10 and jack are clubs. I bet and I get reraised for most my money so I just go the rest of the way all in figuring the only thing he might have but I doubt it would be AK which I am an underdog to but have a lot of outs against. Nope turns out he has KQ off suit which has him winning about 43 percent of the time. I can't say that I blame him for his move as he had top pair with a good kicker and an open ended straight draw, flush draw and straight flush draw. Turn is a blank river a 9 giving him the straight and putting me to a very small stack and I am put out a few hands later.

Next tourny once again I am a big stack in the blind with k2. Flop is Q22. I check to the other guy he bets into me I raise he calls. turn is a 10 I think I raise big to the point where we are both in this til the end he calls. River of course a Q he pushes all in I know I am beat but have to call to the enourmous pot odds and he shows me that Q in his hand. I battle my way back to a decent amount of chips but still short stack get 88 and push it all in because of big blinds and not a whole lot to do besides this. I get called by AK for the race and he turns the Ace to take the pot. If it weren't for me being ahead every time and getting sucked out in the end on the situations I would have at least placed and probably won both of these tournaments.

I of course see this and instead of these 5 dollar sh sngs I buy into a ten dollar one thinking that my play has been good so far. This time cards don't go my way I get my AK up against an A10 when I am short stacked and lose when dominating a player. I took a break and started playing again later in the day.

Once again I bought into a ten dollar sng. This time finally things went my way. I didn't win very many big hands until the end where I had a nut flush draw and the guy min bets so I called and turned the flush. He bets I raise and get called and payed off on both the turn and the river for most of his money to make me the chip leader. I eventually get heads up with a slightly smaller stack but not much. I get raised as he has been raising every hand with 10j clubs I think it was. Board is all low cards with a couple clubs. I get raised again and rather than let him bully me around I push right back into him all in prolly the biggest donk move I made all day and he calls. He shows AQo and I for once suck out and get a ten on the river giving me a huge chip lead. leaving him with about 500 chips and me the rest of the 7500 chips. We get all in I don't remember what we had I think he may have had a slight lead and I won that.

Looking back every tournament I could have won and only won one of four. I might have made over 75 dollars had luck not been against me today instead I made a very small profit of 2 dollars (35 dollar pay out 2x5.50 buy ins and 2x11 dollar buy ins =33 dollars. 35-33= a whole 2 dollars woo hoo.) I was really lucky because after the tournament was finished the server broke down and a lot of peoples tourneys were frozen and I think pokerroom ended up just refunding peoples money and that is not what I would have wanted to happen for that table especially when I was a huge favorite at the end that would have pissed me off. But I got out of there tried buying into another sng and it wouldn't let me. I then saw a bunch of people in the lobby complaining how their tourneys just froze and thats when I was like wow good time to finish that last one. I went back a couple hours later and the people still didn't have their money in their accounts. I just now looked at my account and was not given the points for that tourney so I will have to see about that although their support is awful its no wonder why they have a lot of bad players on that site and not a whole lot of good ones.

Titan room done with another winning day.

I sat down tonight with the intention of clearing my last 230 points on titan. It took a couple hours but I finally did it. To add on to my joy of being able to stop here I won about 25 dollars today so I am now only down a little over 20 dollars on the room of my own money but with the PSO bonus of 9000 points which is 90 dollars I will turn out to make a profit of 70 dollars from the room and now I have a piece of Mike Jackness in two wsop 2500 buy in events. Don't expect that to be much but if Mike does some how pull off a win or a couple decent finishes it could turn out to be a nice little profit. The thing that really made me mad is all the sudden with 10 points or so left to clear my table got really tight. I didn't want to leave because I had started the table and got 50 percent more points than if you just join one. I ended up losing about 6 or 7 dollars trying to get my last few points which sucked but I got it done and I am happy. The other good thing is I can now concentrate on Pokerroom and I have only earned 65 points out of 400 needed there but I am up 125 dollars already. I don't think I will keep that pace up but between these two rooms pokerroom and titan it means I am up over 100 from just play. I do not know if I will finish another 100 points at titan to get a 5 dollar bonus to clear. The bonus clears 5 dollars per 400 points earned so I have 300 earned toward this one but with the luck I have had on there I am ready to just say forget it and move on plus I still have a lot to do on pokerroom. I did get in a couple 5 dollars sngs on Pokerroom tonight on top of finishing the titan promo. I played like a donk the first one because of the transition from ring to tourney. I came in 4th. The second one I started out bad and was down half my chips. I then put in a big bet and put in a continuation bet and that put me into decent shape again. I gained a couple more chips and then trippled up. Board had 67910x on it. I had been BB with J8 so I had the nuts the other guys ended up having and 8 to so they both called we were all close in chips so one guy was knocked out and the other guy was left with like 4 chips. Struggled a little while trying to knock out a third guy and went down in chips so once it was heads up I was down about 1000 chips. Couple PP I raised all in on and stole to get it close. Dealt 66 he raises I go all in he calls this time to show A10. He catches his A on the flop but I turn the 6 for a set and it holds up to win. He is down to about 150ish in chips He doubles up next hand and then I take him after that with a high card holding up on a preflop all in.

Finally a winning day

After a pretty bad week although looking back on it it wasn't all that bad I had a winning day on the two sites I am playing on Titan and PokerRoom. Pokerroom has not been a problem at all actually and has actually made this week a winning week. I have made about 120 dollars in profit this week on the room just in play. I have done some ring games here but mostly the last few days just sh 5$ tourneys. Today I played in 5 of these. I won 3 and came in second in the other 2. Both the other two I got unlucky to lose so I very easily could have won all 5 today which would have been really nice but I will take making the money 100 percent every time. Titan has been the room I have had problems on. I had originally started out bad on the room going down 60 dollars or so 40 if you don't count the bonus they gave me for a deposit. I then went up so I was back up on the site 30 dollars plus the 20 dollars bonus so 50 overall. The last week on here though I have had a lot of probems running into sets or just getting really unlucky. I am now down 75 on the site 45 of my own money. Today I finally had a winning day although nothing to brag about. It was more a victory of not losing money here. I was up about 3 dollars on the day. Something about this site just doesn't like me lately and I cannot wait to get done with it and I am getting close. I now almost have 1300 of the 1500 points that I need to finish. Once I do that I am gone and never lookin back unless they give me free money like party does all the time to me. I should finish this within a couple more nights or maybe even one more night of just sitting down and playing poker. Hopefully I can finish up but I will take not losing any more money if possible as well. Looking back on where I took a turn for the worst on this site I think it was caused by some bad beats playing on their tourneys. They have some decent players on those and I have run into a lot of bad luck with them as mentioned in my previous post.

Bad week of poker.

Well the last couple days have not been the greatest to me on the poker table. The tourney I just finished with is a good example why. With four people left in the tourney, 3 paid, I had over half the chips. First thing that goes wrong is I am in the SB and the blinds are 200-400. Dealt like Q8 and the had less than 800 so I go ahead and put him all in. He has like AJ flop comes kqx. Look I am about to put him out of the tourney next card is a 10 giving him the straight and doubling him up no big deal I am still a big chip leader. Very next hand I am dealt 44 and small stack in the bb so I go ahead and put him all in again he calls for a coin flip and the coin landed in his favor. Ok I am still now a slight chip leader. Couple hands later I am dealt KQ suited I raise small stack raises all in I have good odds another coin flip lands his favor and what do you know I am now short stacked. Now small blind I now have an m less than one so I go all in with a bad hand but had to 57 get my 7 other guy gets his jack.

Another thing I am pissed at is Poker.com and the BPT. I have their link posted in my blog and did not get a coupon for their tournament today. I wrote them in several ways several hours before the tourney actually starts and no response. I had stayed in to play this and am very upset with them. I will not bother with them anymore and would recommend anyone thinking of them do the same. I have now written them an angry letter telling them I am upset with this and will notify anyone possible to stay away.

Couple days ago to keep up with things not going my way I am dealt QQ in the BB first hand at a table. Button raises me and I reraise them half my stack. They call and flop is 63J I think. I raise the rest of the way all in and they call and show me their 63o. Then the thing that pissed me off this person had the nerve to start talking smack. This was where all my problems started. I lost a few more buy ins and left in anger. Done this a few times since and can't seem to win.

Also a couple days ago I was in the lavalife poker tournament, which by the way was run a hell of a lot better than the BPT league. Just ran into some more bad luck in this one I had two sets beat which usually causes problems. I had run my 3000 chips up to 7000 early. Dealt QQ. I raise big preflop. Flop KQJ flop. Other guy raises I reraise he calls. Turn blank I keep raising big so he has about 800 chips left. River is a 9. He goes all in I have to call even though I figured he might have the 10 pot odds were still too good. He shows K10 and I lose half my chips. Once again I get back upto between 6-7k in chips and Am dealt pocket 9s. I raise I get reraised and I call. Flop 9Qx. No flushes or draws and no straights on the board I have the second best hand against the table chip leader. Raise reraise reraise all in. He has a set of Qs the only thing that beats me. I am out of the tourney about 10 shy of a bump up in prize but hey at least I got to play in the tourney Unlike the BPT which didn't let me play. Well I have another blogger tourney on pokerstars which by the way It already shows I am in the tourney so I don't have to worry about being able to play. Again already a better run tournament than the blogger poker tour on poker.com.

Donk on Pokerroom half way on Titan.

Well I was two tabling tonight. I am not a big fan of multi tabling too often because I always mess up by hitting the wrong button because the screens will jump back and forth. I think it was better tonight because I was on two different poker rooms Titan and Pokerroom. Titan I was playing 10 20 cent and was down $10 at one point but got back and only lost around 4 dollars. I made up for this big at pokerroom. I found a table with a complete donk at it. I bought into a 15 25 cent table and this guy would constantly over bet the pot with 5 dollar bets and the best part of this would be it would be on the flop. It was a four person table and a couple hands in I hit a set with 7s. I was raising and then I get reraised all in by this clown who has nothing. I again take a 10 dollar pot off him with two pair. I then have kings and knowing this guy will call a big bet on the river and will call and then bet big if I dont raise my bet I raise up to 2.50 he calls. I bet 1 dollar trying to look weak so he will try to take the pot off me. He just calls. I try again with a two dollar bet again he just calls. This time I go with four dollars and he raises me up to 15 dollars. I then reraise him my last ten and he folds. I am now up 50+ in like 10 minutes. I then put him out when I get pocket nines raise he goes all in for what was remaining in his stack which was really small. I hit a set he had A4 and only got a four out of it so my set takes down his pair of fours for another few dollars. He buys back in. I have an ace of hearts and a low card in BB and all four people call. I check. Checked around on the flop. Turn is a heart to make it three hearts on the board I have a draw to the nut flush no pair on the board. He bets a dollar to make the put two dollars I call easily knowing the implied odds give me more than enough + EV to call. River is another heart and I have the nuts. I check he bets 3 I reraise 10 to 13 and he calls. He got knocked out a little while later by one of the other two at the table. He then lost another buy in all at once to the other guys at the table. Then After knocking him down to what looked like his last bit of money considering he bought in for an amount like 23.64 or something like that. I ended up in about an hour of play being upto 85 dollars from a 9 dollar buy in. Still barely put a dent in pokerroom though but working on it. I am just about half way done with Titan.

I have registered to play in the PokerStars World Blogger Championship of Online Poker!

This Online Poker Tournament is a No Limit Texas Holdem event exclusive to Bloggers.

Registration code: 8227483

So far I have the hilton booked for the first two nights in friday and saturday the 28th and 29th. Reason. We once again were supposed to have a game tonight canceled. Ok screw it we will practice because we have had two games canceled in a row so instead we went out drinking and this is where I told my buddies that I am going to vegas that they want to maybe sponser me in a WSOP event. Last night I played for a while found out that on titan they add 50 percent more points to your account if you start a table so I did this and made about 150 points last night which is a lot considering I have been playing at 10 20 cent sh tables. I lost an 8 dollar buy in turned an 8 dollar buy in into 26 for a 10 dollar profit on the night. Later I started another table then went down another 8 dollars and won it back. I lost on some bad beats and some hands I could not get away from. I had a set of 7s get beat by a set of Qs. Luckily there were three people in the pot and the person with the set of Qs was low stack and the third person also went all in and I lost money but only a few big blinds worth of money which was lucky of me. I am now at about 550 titan poker points getting closer to my 9000 pso points and a portion of jackness at two WSOP 2500 dollar events.

Played yesterday since my softball game was canceled because the fields were soaked with all the rain from the last week. I ended up doing pretty well. I two tabled at some 10-20 cent nl sh tables. One I took 8 dollars and turned into about 23 the other I took 8 and turned it into 32. I then lost a couple byins was on my way to winning a significant portion back then with pocket kings raised reraised allin by the one guy with a bigger stack than me at that point he has pocket 9s and catches a set to beat my kings. Still up 20 dollars on the night though so not a complete loss. I reached my first bonus from titan going over 400 points.

So I did not play over the weekend until last night because I had been down in champaign helping my GF move back for the summer. Between her being back down and my softball league in the summers I will not be able to play that much and it sucks because the summer time is a good time for fish they start spawning and are easy to find. I played yesterday and there is a calling machine at my table. In half an hour I took 25 dollars off of him alone and now I am back into positive for titan. I am just under 400 points there so there will be my first 5 dollars in bonus soon but not tonight as I will be at softball and we usually go out and drink afterward so I should unplug my computer or something so I dont get an urge to come back and play poker here after I have been drinking.

I signed up for Titan poker yesterday as the bonus has gotten too good to pass up. Not only have they lowered their playing requirements but PSO on top of the regular 9000 pso points and the room bonus they have thrown in a piece of Mike J one of the owners at two 2500 dollar no limit events. I just couldn't pass this up because I'd have to hang my self from a rope if he won big money and I didn't take advantage. The site gave me 20 dollars for an unrestricted bonus for depositing. I started out ok but ended up losing money on the night because of their stupid all in button. I cannot stand that they have it. I was multi tabling and then it switched to my other table and as it did this I hit the all in button to a guy that had raised big already. He of course calls and takes my money. At least thanks to the 20 dollar bonus I am even for what I have put onto the site but I do not think I will be multi tabling there anytime soon.

On a different note. I have been trying to find a new job and had a test today for a trading company called Optiver. There were three tests you had to pass the first to take the other two. First part was 80 yes 80 questions in 8 minutes. That is 6 seconds per question. I went in with three other people after the test they left us while they graded the tests. We had an agreement that we all felt we failed the test. This in fact was true. We had all failed. It did not help that it was at 9 in the morning and at that time it takes 2 hours to drive to Chicago due to traffic from where I live. I then spent 10 dollars on parking. So all this for an 8 minute test which has a 15 percent pass rate. I was also on 5 hours sleep so I was not in the greatest state of mind for a test like this. It was a great opportunity that I will never get a chance at because they do not let you take it twice. I would have been taken to Amsterdam for 6 months of training. That would have been nice right there I could have saved up the money from training and then been able to come back and get out of my parents house. I am in a few possible things that could lead to big money in poker if I do well here in the next few months and hopefully something will come of it.

Since I had not played poker in several days before the PSO tourney I warmed up with a quick 10 dollar sng on AP. Kinda funny that I warm up for a 5 dollar tourney with a 10 dollar tourney but the 5 dollar had more at stake. Anyway I won the 10 dollar sng which was nice. I then started out with the PSO league tourney. I got some pretty good hands and my bankroll grew quickly. I was in 8th place coming into this tourney using the best five scores instead of 6 because I was automatically knocking off my worst score and the top 5 shows who controls their own destiny. One of the players was knocked out quickly when his flush ran into a higher flush. The other players got knocked out in the middle somewhere exept for one. This is where it hurts. I was the chip leader with twice the next biggest stack at almost 11 k in chips and the 2nd place in the high 5 thousands. In the big blind I am dealt 84 of spades flop gives me open ended straight draw a flush draw and an inside straight flush draw. The guy I need to knock out goes all in. I see my opportunity to take him out and call. The other guy who has a bigger stack now also goes all in. At this point I am pot comited and I call that as well. The guy I want out shows a set the other guy shows pocket rockets. I am about a 40 percent chance to win this hand so I made the right choice. I of course lose. Had I won I would have had about 16k in chips and a dominating chip lead and have taken out one of the people I needed out of the game. Instead I lose go back down to a little less that 7 k still with the chip lead but having trippled up a guy I really wanted out of the tourney. A little while later what else hurt was when this same guy told me that when I had pocket AA raised and was reraised all in by a guy with pocket nines that had he not reraised all in that he would have instead he folded. OUCH!! He lasts til 14th still giving me hope. At this point I am middle stacked and need to finish third to tie for fifth and higher to win it outright. I get dealt pocket Qs. Short stack goes all in with 10 4 and of course catches trip 10s. I then know I need to double or tripple up to have a chance as my M is around 2 and the blinds approaching. I get dealt KJ good enough first in vigorous so I push all in. I get two callers flop the jack but lose when a guy with pocket nines hits a straight on the turn. Felt like a kick in the balls as this would have put me right back in the running for top three spots. Lots of things could have gone the other way for me to win. I finished 6th place in a league with 10k in overlay and didnt see a dime of that. Overall I finished up about 10 dolllars.

I have not played a whole lot of poker recently as I have spent most the week here in Champaign with my girl friend for her 21st B-day. I have been very bored as she has had a lot of projects due this week and doesn't want me putting poker programs on her computer. So I figured the chances to make the top 5 in the last tourney of the year. I looked at the top 5 scores for the league so far and noticed that with those I am ranked 8th and in very reachable distance of 4th or 5th place in the league and maybe even 3rd if a lot of things go right. It would be nice to finish in the top three and get some of the added money for the tourney for a change because as of right now I have been just breaking even overall in the league events. If I do that that might put me in a spot to also get into the top five so I would have two sets of pso points coming my way if all works out. There is still a lot of work to be done to reach one of those spots though and I cannot practice at all as I am not at my computer to play some poker to keep sharp and won't be till probably right before the tourney starts.

The last event for PSO I made the final table and placed in 7th. I ran into some bad luck that prevented me from doing bad. First was a player I doubled up when I had AQ against his KQ and he caught two pair to almost cripple me. I then stole a pot and doubled up a few hands later and was almost back to where I had been before that. Then at the final table I had KJ all in against the short stack but still enough to hurt me get beat by Q10 after I hit a jack on the flop and he rivered the flush. Both of these last two hands had I won them might have given me a lot better position to finish in top three. Then I finally went out when I a player I felt I had a good read on tried to buy a pot with an ace on the flop. I felt he had no ace and reraised all in but had I noticed the other player at the table I would have thought he had an ace and never made this move and instead just folded. Of course I thought it was me and the other guy I made the move with nothing but a low inside straight draw the other guy called and of course my read on the player I thought I was only against was correct and he folded. Other player turns over pocket queens which I thought was a bad call as the board had been raised and reraised which would suggest an ace was out there. All the same the queens had me dominated but I got some hope on the river when I hit a pair of 5s giving me 9 outs instead of four. I didn't hit instead he hit a set on the river and I was out of the tourney. Still mystified on how he could call a board like that especially since he had a player to act after him that could have taken all of his chips. Never heard of the gap concept I suppose.

I played in the lava life poker challenge on party poker and placed in that. I was doing well with a little over 30 people left in the qualifier (top 20 qualify) and I had to leave. I later found I still placed in 9th place and will be at the final which guarantees me at least 25 dollars and a chance at a 50 inch plasma screen or a vacation for two. Pretty nice considering I did not put any money in to get into this. I know a few PSO members should be there so should be a fun tourney if I am at any of their tables.

I played just one small 2 dollar 15 person short handed tourney yesterday and I won. I played two tabled one Sh 10/15 cent and one full 5/10 cent table. I lost two 8 dollar buy ins on the first and two four dollar buy ins on the second. One of the hands I lost on I was dealt pocket kings. Hand comes 29k with two clubs. I bet to make the it an incorrect call for a flush call. Turn is a 5. Still must keep betting to make the maximum off a flush draw. River 5 of clubs. I think this has given them a flush but I know have a full house. I go all in figuring they will call with a flush that they just made and sure enough they call. Only thing is they didn't have a flush. They turned over pocket 5s giving them four of a kind. After this I finally started getting out of my slump. On a different 10/25 cent table I turned 8 dollars into about 55 and then took 4 dollars on the 5 10 and turned it into about 11 dollarsd. Netting me on the night 30 dollars making up for the losses I received the last couple days. I finally received my email from Neveda jacks today don't know if I should upgrade or not though. I think I will just take the standard 300 chipset.

So I am about to get a nevada jack poker chip set and hopefully it will be here soon although there have been some confusion with it I will eventually get it and I may upgrade to a clay poker chip set. This would be a great for my sets and I would love to be able to use them in my poker games. On the other hand been playing lately been going back to ring games and have been in a stuggle because it is hard to some times switch back to one game after you have done another for a couple months as tourneys and ring games are completely different strategy. Starting to get a feel for ring again and hopefully be able to start turning a profit again in the ring games soon.

Couple days ago I had been struggling get dealt bad beats and not really on my best game. I was down about 40 dollars when I bought into a 6 person 12 dollar tourney to change it up. I won this to end up down about a buck for the day. Yesterday I played in one 5 dollar sng and came in 1st. At the end of the tourney he was down to about 2 thousadn to my 8. He doubled up on a couple of hands where I had the lead I think one was 910 vs my J10 Then again where I had two over cards. He finally got me down to about 1800 with the blinds at 250 500. I knew that I couldn't really afford to lose any money so I put it all in and stole the first blind when I was in the small. Next hand he calls still not able to get off a hand and needing to double up with a 54 suited I go all in and he calls. He flops over AA but for once I got lucky and got 2 4s on the flop and that held up to win. The next hand I was dealt I think JQ I pushed again and he called this time with K7 or something like that. I got a lucky turn to pair my hand and that held up to win and had him down to less than the small blind. I won with AJ ending up on A high the next hand to take the tourney win. I finally finished the amount of points required for my next PSO promo where I will end up with an extra 90 dollars in points from them. I will combind that with another 10 dollars in points and take a 100 dollar gift card for Absolute poker. My stack is nearing 1000 dollars as once this happens I am at about 950.

I did not feel like I played my best poker yesterday I played two five dollar sngs the first one I got unlucky in and lost to a guy hitting a set to take out my two pair on the turn when I had been the big blind with A3 flop A3X rainbow and we get into a couple raises between like 4 players where it ends up being me and two other people. turn is a 2 river is a blank. This donkey turns up a pair of twos for a set. Way to go all in with an underpair to the board. The next tourney I got lucky a couple times mainly early in the tourney when once again in the big blind this time with 63 flop turns 3x5h6h figuring this is a safe board but wanting to take it down I raise about two hundred everyone folds except one guy who raises another two hundred he had called in middle position so I figured at worst I was up against an over pair but of course he flops up 45 hearts dont know why he called preflop with a hand like that but lucky turn comes with another three lucky for me it wasnt the three of hearts or I woulda lost to his straight flush and to rub salt in his wound the turn came 2 of hearts for a flush for him. I went on to win so I was up on the day and even though the last few days I feel I have not played my best poker at all I am still up about 10 dollars over that time span which is fine by me.

I did another league tourney yesterday but did not do very well due to a bad beat. I think a big reason I have been doing so well has been my play at the final 3 which for the most part can get me to at least a second place finish pretty consistently and really give myself often times the odds to finish first and then I put pressure on the other players at this point and come out ahead quite often. I also have been trying out this new site with 40 percent rakeback which is nice it takes a day for you to be able to cash out the rakeback after you have earned the points. I generate 100 dollars in rakeback today then 40 percent of that so 40 dollars is available the next day to play with or cash out. If anyone is interested in this let me know I will send you a raf you can reach me by emailing me at pokers1player@yahoo.com. But also if you want some other great promotions go to www.pokersource.com and get their free stuff such as 100 dollars no deposit or 150 with deposit free and also a Nevada jacks poker chip set for free just for playing on one of their promotions. In the Poker Source League event today I placed 15th out of about 101 I think it was. So I got paid for the second league tourney in a row although barley 15th paid 6.06 dollars so a total of 56 cents is what I won. My league standings should start improving a lot more though with more finishes like this though and maybe one of the lower prizes it may be hard to get first overall but if I have a couple good tourneys strung together who knows I may be on my way to the WSOP but doubtful.

They finally came up with a decision on the stalling for the league tourney at pokersource. I think they should be banned from the league but PSO is lookin it over and will make a decision hopefully soon. I played a few sngs yesterday started out having some bad luck with suck outs. People had been aggressive so I call with AQ in my first tourney and A 34 comes on the flop. I raise and I get put all in. I then call and see I am a big favorite to double up on the chip leaders A5 but we all know what came out next, a 2. I lost that and had some bad cards the next two as well and had lost 16.5 in 5 dollar sngs then finally decided to play one more which I won and got 25 dollars out of fora total profit of 3 whole dollars woo hoo. Atleast its not negative and I earned some more points towards my promotion and bonus for bodog and PSO. By the way if you haven't yet joined PSO and you like poker it is the place to be. Free stuff for doing what you do anyway. While joining feel free to use my name AAbully27 as the referer as I get like 10 bucks that would otherwise go to no one and I can take part in some of their freerolls as well.

So today I was getting ready to play in the PSO league so for a warm up I bought into a 5 dollar tourney. I placed first in this then got ready to play in the PSO league event. So far I had not done very well up til this point and really needed a top finish to get back into it. I started out rocky and went down to less than 1000 in chips. I then worked my way up and and after a couple big wins got into a high position. Towards the end I got placed at this person whos name had robin in it. They were short stacked and would take almost the entire time to act every hand I would assume to move up in the standings. Then they kept doubling up. They ended up placing 2nd in the tourney. This was getting bad considering I had them all in and had a better hand only to lose. I then lost and came in 6th place when my stack was one of the shorter. First in Vigorous and a decent hand with K10 I got called by 88. No luck this time and was out winning 27 and change. I was mad though because I couldnt play enough hands to have better position going to the final table. I really wanted a top 3 finish seeing as how they are the ones that get the PSO points as well. I guess I am stuck waiting for the next one oh well. Funny thing is I spent 3 hours to win 27 for 5 dollar buy in and earlier spent 45 min to win 25 dollars for 5 dollar buy in as well. 2 extra dollars for about 4 times the time played.

I haven't played too much poker the last few days Due to St. Patricks day celebrations on Sat and Sun. I played in a couple five dollar sng yesterday and finally finished in third place on BoDog and of course I did it both times. Really woulda prefered not to have the third place finishes added on and have two first places instead but it works. Some guy bitched me out in one of them when he raised and had been raising often and I call with pocket 7s. Flop KK5, he leeds out with a pot sized bet. Now if I call I am stuck in this pot because I will not have enough money if I call and fold down the line or call and lose. So I put in an all in raise. He calls and shows AQ. I hold up to win the pot. Now he starts calling me a bad card player which I thought was funny for a guy that calls an all in after the flop with no pair. The reason I went all in instead of folding to his bet was because the two kings. Most people dont bet out large amounts if they flop trips. No they bet out large amounts if they want to win a pot. Now sure if I was playing experts they might come out and do this same play covering their trips but I was at a 5 dollar table where not too many experts play. So I put I doubled up and get an earful from this fish. Two other times I took large pots he tried to steal down the road from now before he got knocked out as a low stack by someone else. I just love it when I had him the whole way and he has the nerve to complain to me that I am a bad poker player. I just laugh at it.

So poker source is doing a freeroll for any blogger that has a blog that mentions pokersource in their blog. I have been playing online poker since December of 2004 when I won 50 dollars in a 10,000 dollar freeroll on Royal Vegas. I turned that into about 400 on there and then took 100 dollars on Party Poker from free from Poker Source. Poker Source is a great site if you like poker go there and check it out they have a bunch of great promotions. The site is www.pokersource.com and if you do go there please use my name AAbully27 as your referral person because I get 10 dollars worth of stuff just for telling people to go out and get 100 dollars free. I don't know how this generates money for them but hey I'm not complaining. There are not catches to this either which makes it hard to get referrals because everyone thinks 100 dollar there must be some catch. Well from there I took my money and played AP with it and got a table for free then I went to Paradise who screwed me out of Nevada Jacks chips and I am not to pleased with that site. At that point I had made that money into 240 dollars. Also at one point along the way I got 5 dollars free to play with at worldpoker exchange which I have made into 90 dollars. I have now about a week ago or so took all my money from all my sites and put it into BoDog for another promotion for 9000 Pso Points and I did all my money because they give you unlimited 10% bonus on your deposits. That got be a little over 60 dollars in money. At first I strugled with this site because I did not like their software I was down about 15 dollars and I started playing 5 dollar sit and go tourneys. I have played 13 so far and came in first 5 times second 3 times and did not place in 5 of them. this has neted me about 100 dollars minus the 15 I lost so arounnd 85 dollars on my poker playing. Then not to mention the 60 dollars bonus plus 90 dollars in pso points. With the bonus I am at 750 dollars about and once I get my 90 dollars I will have my bankroll up to 840 plus hopefully some more money from playing poker. Maybe a 1000 dollar bank roll by the time I am done with this site.
